Full Circle
Image of the temporary mural “Full Circle” located at Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex located on the 2nd floor mezzanine, Pickering.
About the Artwork
Full Circle has been created by utilizing past banner submissions from The Pickering Community Banner Program. The Banner Program celebrated the culture, heritage and beauty of our City. Through this program City of Pickering invites Canadian artists of all ages to submit artwork to be used for the Community Banner Program. Using a single or a variety of mediums, artists are asked to highlight the cultural, heritage, and diversity of the City of Pickering through the annual theme. Up to 35 Community banners are selected annually through an open call for art. Community Banners are installed throughout City Centre (Esplanade North, Esplanade South, Valley Farm Road, Glenanna Road, Kingston Road) for a period of one year, and after removal are stored to be re-purposed, re-used, or recreated into an original works such as Full Circle.
About the Artist
