Arenas and Skating
At Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex, we feature two indoor arenas offering public skating, skating lessons, and private ice rentals throughout the skating season.
Indoor Skating

Learn to skate lessons and programs are available for all ages during the Fall and Winter seasons.

Hockey equipment & skating aids are not permitted.
CSA approved hockey helmet is required for children 5 yrs and under, and recommended for all ages.

Free Teen Stuff Skating (13 - 19 yrs)
Free for Pickering teens 13 - 19yrs. Must be a City of Pickering Free Teen Member to participate. Membership is free. Visit pickering.ca/teen for details.
Shinny: Participants must bring and wear their own gloves and CSA approved helmets with full face mask.

Parent & Child Skate/Stick & Puck (children under 6 yrs)
Children must be under 6 years of age to participate. Parent must accompany their child on ice wearing skates.
Parent & Child Skate
Parents must accompany their children on the ice, wearing skates. Skating aids are permitted. Children are required to wear CSA approved hockey helmets with attached face mask. CSA approved hockey helmet is recommended for parents too.
Parent & Child Stick & Puck
Parents must accompany their children on the ice, wearing skates. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity to practice and develop skating, stick-handling and passing skills in a relaxed non-competitive atmosphere.
Children are required to wear CSA approved hockey helmets with attached face mask. CSA approved hockey helmet is recommended for parents too. Nets are provided and skating aids are not permitted on the ice.
