In 2020, Brock Road Duffins Forest Inc. submitted applications for Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision to facilitate the development of an apartment building, having a maximum building height of 20 storeys, containing 307 dwelling units. The applications also propose 9 street townhouse units and 64 stacked townhouse units.
The purpose of the subject application is to rezone the land currently zoned “UR”, east of Squires Beach Road, to extend the current MTD (H-3) zone boundary to within approximately 30 metres of the significant natural features on the property, and to rezone the remaining UR lands east of Squires Beach Road to NHS (Natural Heritage System).
